Suri Cruise is ready for a new start. The 20-year-old daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise has legally dropped her father’s surname, according to reports. She’s now going by a new name.
As reported by Page Six, Suri registered to vote in Pennsylvania in 2024, back when she first moved there following the start of her freshman year at Carnegie Mellon University. She registered under the name Suri Noelle.
The name is one she’s used in public settings in past years, including in plays in high school. As reported by the outlet, to register to vote in Pennsylvania, people must use their legal names, suggesting that Suri likely changed her name while she lived in New York.

She reportedly hasn’t had a relationship with her father for years. She first publicly used the name Suri Noelle at her graduation from LaGuardia High School in 2024, where it was listed in the graduation brochure. She also used it on a high school performance of “The Addams Family: A New Musical,” where she played the role of Morticia Addams.
Recently, it was reported that Suri has landed a role at Carnegie Mellon’s production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” with the production kicking off on July 31st. She’s following in her parents’ footsteps and is majoring in Musical Theater.
