Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour dancer Whyley Yoshimura is not ready to spill the beans on his invite to the superstar’s wedding to Travis Kelce.

The dancer remained coy when asked if he had received an invitation to the upcoming nuptials; after a long pause, he told HELLO! that he had not received an invite, and then laughed: “My answer will be no from here on out.”

Whyley was one of 15 core dancers on the tour who stayed through March 2023 until it concluded in December 2024, and those 20 months saw the group bond for life.

In the 2025 behind-the-scenes documentary The End of an Era, viewers discovered that the routine for “…Ready For It?”, one of the highlights of the record-breaking global tour, was a favorite of Whyley’s.

Choreographed by Mandy Moore, the routine had always been performed by six of the female dancers, including Amanda Balen, the tour’s dance captain and associate choreographer, but as the tour came to a close, he made the bold decision to ask if he could perform it live on stage.

Amanda asked Taylor, who immediately said yes when told Whyley would also fit into Amanda’s costume, and Whyley told HELLO! that he “never doubted once” that the answer would be yes.

“Now that I think about it and I watch it, I think ‘God, Whyley, the audacity you have!’ But I think it’s because I felt so comfortable with her,” he said.

“It was a wild idea, and I couldn’t believe that she was down for it, but not once did I ever doubt that she would say no.”

That one three-minute moment made all the difference for Whyley, who said that Taylor’s decision to say yes “healed my inner child and it healed the little dancer boy inside of me”.

“The industry is hard and it can break you down, but then you find people that will see you and will heal you and will treat you the way you want to be treated,” he added.

The six-episode documentary chronicled the creative development and cultural impact of the tour, and episode four placed a focus on the dancers and Whyley’s determination to land the chance to perform the routine for one night.

However, Whyley had no idea that the episode would feature so much of his journey, discovering alongside everyone else as he watched at home.

“I was shocked. I was watching it with my husband and he was like, ‘Oh my God, this whole episode is you. They’re only focusing on you. They’re not even focusing on her!'” he laughed.

“I was completely honored.”

The Eras Tour ran for 20 months

Whyley was at the 2026 Race to Erase MS Gala with his Eras Tour friend Jan Ravnik, who has gone on to become a professional dancer on Dancing With The Stars. But don;t expect os ee Whyley on the ABC show anytime soon

“I know I’m not a ballroom dancer. I didn’t train in ballroom and TV is not my passion,” he said. “I like to dance for pop megastars like Taylor Swift!”
