Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s blockbuster wedding in Madison Square Garden on July 3 was one to remember, with everyone from Sir Paul McCartney to Selena Gomez in attendance on the special night.
As more details emerge about the star-studded wedding event, ESPN sportscaster Joe Buck shared insight into the special moment that Taylor walked down the aisle towards her husband-to-be, prompting a wave of tears from the NFL star.
An emotional night
Joe revealed on the Starkville podcast that Taylor and Travis’ wedding was “pretty surreal” and a “pinch yourself kind of night” as he mingled with some of the biggest A-listers in the world. He added that the ceremony was filled with emotion, especially when the singer walked down the aisle to her own track, “Love Story”.
“Travis was a puddle, watching his nieces come down the little ramp that they built. And then when she walked out, he was a puddle,” Joe recalled.
© MLB Photos via Getty Images“Their vows were long. They were really well-written, they were funny, they were sweet, they were emotional.” He added that “it really felt like they were getting married,” rather than it being “just a ceremonial thing.”
Joe shared that Taylor and Travis’ no-phone policy allowed the guests to relax and enjoy the night.

A sweet family moment
Travis’ four nieces, Wyatt, six, Elliotte, five, Bennett, three, and Finnley, 15 months, served as the flower girls at the wedding, which made their father, Jason Kelce, incredibly emotional.
“It was a special event for our entire family, and obviously my daughters are incredible,” he told the Reno Gazette-Journal.
“They’re beautiful, they’re incredible personalities. And Travis and Taylor love them. So, very happy we were able to be a part of it. And more importantly, very happy for those two. It was an amazing day.”
Friends again
Also in attendance at the wedding event of the year was Karlie Kloss, supermodel and former best friend of Taylor, who reportedly had a fallout with her in 2016. Karlie broke her silence on her surprise appearance at the wedding on the Today show, sharing that she was happy for her friend.

The duo became fast friends after meeting at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2013, and they even appeared on the cover of Vogue together.
Feuding

Karlie then clarified her words about Kim in a statement posted to Twitter. “I will not allow the media to misconstrue my words. Taylor has always had my back, and I will always have hers. [A]nd I will never be the girl that you can use to pit women against each other. That isn’t me,” she declared.

The model was then pictured backstage at Taylor’s Reputation Tour concert in 2018, yet the pop star skipped Karlie’s wedding to Joshua Kushner in the same year.
