On Friday morning, David and Victoria Beckham had the ultimate husband-and-wife bonding session – they took to the gym and looked superbly fit in the process.
Victoria, who turned 52 last month, was filmed from behind by her husband, and fans were astounded by her level of strength as she lifted herself up onto a bar and gently manoeuvred her body upwards. Wow!
The former Spice Girl looked incredible in the couple’s fully-equipped fitness space, wearing a sculpted pair of high-waisted leggings, which she paired with a sleek crop top, showing off her toned midriff. VB wore her newly honey blonde mermaid-esque locks loose and finished with a Sporty Spice-esque cap.
David cheekily zoomed in on his wife’s derriere in the video, and the mother-of-four commented: “While some of us work hard in the gym …….. @davidbeckham” alongside a series of laughing emojis.
In another shot that the fashion mogul shared on her Instagram Stories, Victoria was seen impressively bending her leg right up to her midriff!
Holding her phone as she took the selfie in a mirror, fans could see that the fashionista was wearing zero makeup as she enjoyed her workout. Her skin looked impossibly fresh.
Victoria’s workout routine
Victoria previously told The Guardian’s Weekend magazine that her exercise routine begins between 5.30 am and 6 am with a 7km run on the treadmill, which is a “mix of uphill fast walking, jogging, running. That’s the only time I watch TV – boxsets, documentaries – so I look forward to that. It takes 45 minutes”.
This is followed by a session with a personal trainer at her private gym. “30 minutes legs, 30 minutes arms, toning and conditioning, then loads of planks and that kind of thing for my core,” Victoria said, adding that she follows the routine all the way through with no breaks at the weekend, but may take time out to take her youngest, Harper, to school on weekdays.
Victoria insists that the routine is “a really positive thing for me. It’s part of who I am now, and I really enjoy it”. The star doesn’t just stick to home exercise, either – Victoria has been spotted at LA’s SoulCycle in the past.
In later life, weights have become a big part of her fitness regime. “I’ve always been a bit scared of weights, but it turns out I love them,” Victoria told Grazia. “I’ve even got those special gloves to wear! It’s good to switch things up and keep your body guessing. I’ve got so much more muscle tone now,” she revealed.
