Gisele Bündchen shared a moving tribute for Mother’s Day. In a new post on Instagram, Bündchen is opening up about some of her favorite parts of being a mother. She’s also using the opportunity to share a moving tribute about her late mother, Vania Nonnenmacher.
The post is made up of numerous photos showing Bündchen’s daily life as a mother, showing herself enjoying her newborn son and her older children, Ben and Vivian. Her husband, Joaquim Valente, also made an appearance in the post, seen laughing as he watches Bündchen hug her older kids.
Bündchen shared some of the handwritten notes that her kids wrote to her, with Ben writing his in English and describing her as “protective.” In the case of Vivian, she wrote her card in Portuguese. She also shared a note written to her by Valente, who affectionately refers to her as “Minha gatinha.” She also shared a photo of some stunning roses she received.
© @giseleShe concluded the post with photos of herself and her mother, who died in 2024. “Nothing in this world fills my life with more meaning and joy than being a mom,” Bündchen captioned the post.
“I’m so grateful to experience life with them, learning and growing together every day. Happy Mother’s Day to all moms, especially to my mama, who is always by my side in spirit and inspires me to be the best mom that I can be.”
Bündchen was deeply affected by her mother’s death and has shared numerous tributes in the years since. She died of cancer, with Bündchen revealing that the news and her mother’s illness had taken a toll on her and her family.
“It’s been a lot — in every area of my life,” she said in an interview with PEOPLE. “I feel like whenever it rains, it pours. With all the different twists and turns that life takes, all we can do is the best we can given what happens in our surroundings.”

Aside from the joy that Bündchen gets out of being a mother, other aspects of her personal life appear to be on more stable ground. This past Mother’s Day, her ex, Tom Brady, celebrated the special date and sent a shout-out to her, showing that their relationship appears to be in a good place.
“Happy Mother’s Day to all of the amazing mothers in the world,” he wrote over an image that shows Bündchen and their kids wearing matching pajamas. The photo includes Jack, Brady’s oldest son, whom he shares with his ex, Bridget Moynihan, who also has a great relationship with Bündchen.
