Hailey Bieber is happy to be a mom, so much so that she’s thinking ahead. The Rhode Skin founder shared a refreshingly honest take on family planning, how she is raising her son, and the emotions that come with raising a child today.
Bieber, who is mom to a 19-month-old son, Jack Blues Bieber, whom she shares with husband Justin Bieber, said she’s definitely not done growing her family. “I definitely want more than one, but I’m taking it one at a time,” she said during a conversation with Interview magazine. “Some days I want two. Some days I want five.”
The model’s take is not based on hesitation, but rather a grounded, present-focused mindset, as she has always envisioned her life to be centered around family. “I always wanted to be married and have kids and a family from a super young age,” she said. By birth, Bieber is also part of the Baldwin family, known for including four brothers, Alec, Daniel, William, and Stephen Baldwin.
Morning Moments With Baby Jack
Right now, her world revolves around Jack. “My son usually wakes up around 7:30-ish, so I like to be up with him as much as I can,” Hailey shared, adding that their morning routine includes cozy, relatable moments. “My son loves to make coffee with me. So we hang, have family time in the morning, and then I hop into a workout,” she told the publication.
The star also said she finds joy in the little things. “Kids are just so yummy in the morning when they first wake up. They’re just so smushy,” she said.
The Best Part of Motherhood
According to Hailey, motherhood has been deeply transformative. “Seeing this little human evolve before your eyes” is what she calls the most rewarding part. “They grow so fast and they change so much and there’s always so much excitement,” she explained. “You’re watching them experience life for the first time, so you kind of feel like you’re experiencing it that way with them.”
© Hailey Bieber / InstagramBieber also added that alongside that joy comes vulnerability. “The world he’s growing up in is very, very scary and it feels so bleak, thinking about the future, with how things are going,” she admitted. “But I just have to close my eyes and have faith.”
The Future She’s Building
Despite her concerns, Hailey says that she is creating a loving environment at home, which includes praying with Jack every night before bed. “As long as he’s growing up in an environment at home that’s really loving and beautiful, that’s all that I can hope for,” she assured.
