It looks like Harrison Ford’s handsome genes are being passed down very well through the generations of Ford men.
For Father’s Day, the screen legend’s oldest son, Ben Ford, took to social media with some photos with his two sons to mark the big day.
The 59-year-old chef shares two sons, Ethan, 25, and Waylon, 15, with ex-wife Emily. The pair were married from 2009 to 2024, and Ben is now dating pilates instructor and actress Dru Mouser.
Ben shared a sweet throwback of himself embracing his two sons, both of whom looked so much like their famous grandfather, sporting blonde locks and his signature chiseled features.
The celebrity chef refrains from sharing much of a look at his personal life, save for the occasional mention on Instagram Stories, but previously was more free with glimpses of life with his sons.
Back in 2021 for Father’s Day, he shared a lengthy tribute to his boys and what fatherhood means to him, penning: “Becoming a dad has been the most extraordinary journey in my life. I had to extinguish what a father meant and learn what it meant to be a dad.”
“My children needed someone who actively took part in their lives,” he continued. “A dad who nurtured them. A dad who was present in mind, body, and soul. They needed attunement. They needed a connection. They needed someone emotionally available. None of which came naturally to me.”
© InstagramReflecting on the initial arduous journey of discovering what being a dad meant to him versus what he’d seen around him, he continued: “I spent so much time thinking about what it meant to be a dad.”
“It means putting my oxygen mask on first while not being selfish. They show me it is never about them and always about me. There is never a day that goes by that I do not thank my lucky stars for what these boys brought to my life. Thank you for being my ultimate teacher. I love you to the outer reaches of the universe and back.”
© InstagramSpeaking with Esquire back in 2023, Harrison, a dad of five, himself admitted that he could’ve been more present for his children as a father, confessing: “I can tell you this. If I’d been less successful, I’d probably be a better parent.”
“I accept my flaws and my failures — I don’t accept them, I own them,” he continued. “And certainly, the more constant gardener is the better parent, and I’ve been out of town, up my own [expletive], for most of my life.”
© InstagramHowever, speaking with The Independent back in 2010, he noted that the 30+ year difference between his oldest and youngest kids allowed him to gain new perspectives with each child. “My older children have taught me a lot. My first child was born when I was 25; I reckon I’m a little better at [parenting] now,” he shared.
