Julia Roberts has marked a special milestone with husband Danny Moder, sharing a rare and heartfelt glimpse into their enduring romance as they celebrated 24 years of marriage.
The Pretty Woman actress, 58, took to Instagram on Saturday to commemorate the occasion, posting a sweet selfie as she rested her head on Danny’s shoulder while the pair soaked up the sunshine together.
“TWENTY FOUR,” Julia captioned the image. “MORE MORE MORE.”
The touching tribute quickly drew messages from friends and fans alike, with several famous faces joining in the celebrations.
Rita Wilson wrote: “Happy happy happy anniversary Moders!!! Love rules! Love wins!!!”
Ali Wentworth added: “Happy Anniversary to the ultimate couple!!! Sending you loads of love!”
Julia and Danny, 57, first met in 2000 while working on The Mexican. Julia starred opposite Brad Pitt in the romantic crime comedy, while Danny worked behind the scenes as the film’s cinematographer.
Their romance blossomed two years later, and in July 2002 they exchanged vows in a secret ceremony at Julia’s ranch in Taos, New Mexico.
Reflecting on that life-changing moment during an appearance on Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop podcast in 2018, Julia described marrying Danny as the greatest decision she has ever made.
“Getting married to Danny. That was the first, like, my life will never be the same in the most incredible, indescribable way,” she said.
“The best decision I ever made in my entire life was to hitch my wagon to Danny Moder.”
Despite their Hollywood status, the couple have built a reputation for fiercely protecting their private family life. They are parents to 21-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, as well as their youngest son, Henry, 19, and rarely share personal moments publicly.
Earlier this year, however, Julia and Danny delighted fans with a rare red carpet appearance together at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, where they posed alongside actress and singer Teyana Taylor.
The Oscar winner has often spoken about the happiness she has found away from the spotlight.
While promoting After the Hunt last year, Julia was asked what currently brings her the most joy. When co-star Andrew Garfield replied that his answer “changes all the time,” Julia smiled and responded: “Mine doesn’t.”
She has also been candid about the fact that, while acting fulfilled one lifelong ambition, her greatest achievement has been the family she has created. Speaking to CBS News Sunday Morning in 2022, she reflected: “The life that I’ve built with my husband. The life that we’ve built with our children.”
“That’s the best stuff, to come home at the end of the day triumphantly to them.”
