Malia Obama was spotted grabbing some dinner with a friend. The daughter of Michelle and Barack Obama showed off her cool sense of style with an outfit made out of perfectly selected pieces, as she tends to do.
In photos captured earlier this week, Malia was spotted leaving the Sunset Tower Hotel, where she grabbed some dinner with a friend. The location has a popular restaurant and bar with views of the city.
Malia wore an outfit made up of a t-shirt that she paired with a cream colored vest, over a dark skirt that reached below her knees. She completed the look with one of her favorite fashion elements: her black leather boots.
She styled her hair loose, with it dyed at the ends, adding a high bun. She carried a medium-sized black purse and was photographed getting into a black car.

Over the past years, Malia has built her life in Los Angeles, where she and her sister Sasha Obama are based. Malia works in the entertainment industry, having worked in numerous projects, among them the TV show “Swarm” and her own short film, “The Heart.”
For her career, she’s decided to drop her surname, opting to present her work as Malia Ann.

They’re very stubborn about it. Malia, she’s making movies, so she made her first movie. And, you know, I’ll be a dad, I’ll brag a little bit…her first film went to Sundance and all these fancy film festivals, and she didn’t use Obama on as director on the credits.”
“I was all like, ‘You do know they’ll know who you are,’” continued Obama. “And she’s all like, ‘You know what? I want them to watch it that first time and not in any way have that association.’ So I think our daughters go out of their way not to try to leverage that.”

Michelle Obama often speaks about her daughters, ensuring she protects their privacy while also shedding light on their unconventional childhood in the White House, when they were 10 and 7 years old.
“With them, it was really just trying to keep them focused on their lives,” said Michelle in an appearance on the podcast “Baby, This Is Keke Palmer.” “They could never miss school or something that they had to do for school because something cool was happening right at the White House.”
“They only traveled with us on their breaks – so summers, and there’s spring break when they weren’t at camp – so the goal was to make their lives as normal as possible,” she said.
