Sydney Sweeney made one of the biggest celebrity statements of the night as she joined fellow New York Knicks fans in San Antonio for Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
The actress and her boyfriend, music executive Scooter Braun, were among the star-studded crowd at Frost Bank Center as the Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs 94-90, securing the franchise’s first NBA championship in 53 years.
While celebrations erupted across New York City, a number of the team’s most famous supporters traveled to Texas to witness the historic victory in person.
Front-Row Redemption After Madison Square Garden Surprise
Sweeney’s appearance came just days after she surprised fans by showing up at Madison Square Garden alongside Braun for Game 4 of the Finals.
The couple generated buzz when they arrived together, but their seating arrangement quickly became a talking point. Rather than landing coveted courtside spots, Sweeney and Braun were seated several rows behind Taylor Swift and sisters Alana and Este Haim, who occupied some of the most visible seats in the arena.
The placement sparked conversation online, particularly given Braun’s long-running dispute with Swift over ownership of her master recordings. Their unexpected proximity became one of the night’s more talked-about celebrity moments.
By Saturday, however, Sweeney and Braun found themselves much closer to the action.

When cameras flashed to Sweeney sitting among the celebrity spectators, Barkley appeared genuinely surprised by her presence.
“Sydney Sweeney is here?” he exclaimed during the broadcast. He then joked about the team’s growing popularity, adding, “Everybody is a New York Knicks fan now.”
