Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s much-anticipated wedding is being planned with the help of Mark Seed. The Fate of Ophelia singer and NFL star are said to have tapped Seed – who has previously worked with Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley – to plan the nuptials, which are rumoured to be at Madison Square Garden.
Both Swifties and media outlets are speculating that the wedding will take place early next month before Kansas City Chiefs star Kelce returns to training – with an unconfirmed guest list making headlines last month when it was reported that Swift’s long-time friend Blake Lively had not been invited.
What is Mark Seed known for?
Seed has worked on several events for A-list celebrities, including Antonoff and Qualley’s 2023 wedding and Jennifer Lawrence’s 2019 nuptials to art dealer Cooke Maroney.
An insider told Page Six that Seed “can build something spectacular out of nothing” and “is renowned for never, ever talking about his clients”.
He is perhaps best known for his architectural designs and helped construct a greenhouse on the lawn of Sam Ressler‘s parents’ home for her nuptials to Jason Borg.
Praising Seed’s event-planning skills, Ressler later told Vogue, “He made everything so easy, fun and seamless. He’s basically a genius and has the chillest energy. He’s also incapable of panic. He really gets that this should just be a celebration of love and a fun experience to plan.”
Major remodelling needed
Seed is said to have been working on Swift and Kelce’s wedding for several months, with the ceremony believed to require major remodelling of the Madison Square Garden Arena.
Darren Olarsch, founder of production company One the Move Entertainment, told Page Six that “the production team would have to build out overhead structures” to make the wedding ceremony more romantic and intimate. He said, “They would literally build the wedding venue on the floor. Your own mini stage, dance floor and surrounding table that are all right there; a venue within a venue.”
Seed’s Low Profile
Despite working with high-profile celebrities, Seed manages to remain extremely low-key – as his personal website just shows a logo and contact details.
