Romeo Beckham is making his acting debut. The son of David and Victoria Beckham will star in a gay sports romance directed by a renowned fashion photographer.
Romeo will be starring in “Forty Love,” a film following a tennis prodigy training to win a major trophy in Paris. Then a new rival appears, played by Romeo, challenging the protagonist’s life and career.
“For the first time, he faces an opponent of an entirely different nature — love,” reads the synopsis, as reported by Variety. “A force as exhilarating as it is destabilizing — and far more dangerous than anything he has encountered on the court.”
The film is made up of an all-star cast and crew, including Paul Kircher, Guillaume Canet, and Benjamin Voisin, with an appearance from acting legend Catherine Deneuve. The film will also be scored by 070 Shake and Johan Lenox. It marks the directorial debut of Pierre-Ange Carlotti, a photographer who’s worked for publications like GQ, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and more. He also co-wrote the script.
While this marks Romeo’s acting debut, he’s built a steady career as a model, being featured on campaigns from Balenciaga and Yves Saint Laurent. It makes sense for him to be working with Carlotti, who also has deep ties with the world of fashion.
Chloé Marquet, the head of international sales for film and TV for Studiocanal, said: “Carlotti’s singular visual language gives the film a real edge, while its exploration of desire, competition and identity will resonate with audiences worldwide.”
The Beckham family celebrates Father’s Day

“Happy Father’s Day to the best there is love u so much,” he captioned the post, sharing two photos: one from his childhood, showing him as a young boy with long blonde hair and his father holding on to him while wearing a beanie, and a second one that’s more recent, showing the two in their bathing suits, laughing together with their arms thrown around each other.
Victoria Beckham dropped numerous heart emojis in the comments section. She also shared a post of her own, sharing photos of David alongside his kids and also alone and enjoying a glass of wine.
